How the time flies by….

How the time goes....

I cannot believe just how quick the time goes by these days. Is it a sign I am getting older? It seems just like a couple years ago that I waited so long in line for Damian to sit on Santa’s lap here, and now today – there would be no way Damian would ever sit on his lap (although I am trying to get him to do it in this pose again so we have pictures to compare). He is three and a half here, by the way.

So, Christmas was yesterday, and it was better than I could’ve imagined. I never expect anything from anyone, but was so fortunate to have been given so many amazing gifts. My favorite gift this year is my new writing desk. Now I wont have to sit at the kitchen table with my laptop doing my school work, and writing! I have many writing projects to complete this year. I have begun my first full book in November. It WILL be completed this year! This is one goal I have set for myself. What goals are YOU setting this year?

I finished up my last school class for this year this past Sunday, and I am so pleased to have done so well. I ended up with a 99 in my World Lit II class, and now, I have a two week break.  I was hoping to get back to writing my novel during this break, but it seems there are some other pressing issues that need my attention first. As you have read, I have decided to close Peach Fitness. This week will be moving week. The storage unit has been rented, and is waiting to be filled! Sunday is the official moving day, so if any of you are in the vicinity, and are in the helpful spirit (or have a truck), we are all meeting at 1:00pm at Peach Fitness.

I am so excited to see what 2014 has in store! Life is always changing, and we must learn to change and adapt with it. Merry Christmas everyone! and to a wonderful New Year!!!

Easy Crock-Pot Roast

Easy Crock-Pot Shoulder Roast

Here is a great, easy way to have a delicious and nutritious meal when you get home from work!

I like to use shoulder because it is so lean, but you can use any roast cut of meat.
Brown the meat on all sides.

Place browned meat into crock pot. Add:
3 large potatoes (cut into chunks)
1 bag of carrots (cut into chunks)
2 small onions (cut into chunks)
5 garlic cloves
1/2 cup wine
1/2 cup water or broth
3 bay leaves
salt and pepper
1 tsp crushed red pepper

Cover and cook on low for 8 hours! Easy and delicious!

It’s Christmas-Time Family Fun Photos!

It's ChristmasTIme!

So, we decided to take our first family Christmas pictures last night. It was quite an adventure, I must say. We had antler ears for both the dogs, along with treats to try to keep them in place. Well, needless to say, it took us about 125 shots to get about three good ones. We did, however, have tons of fun, and we did get some cute, crazy pictures of us all. Here is one where Dart just had to jump up and hug James. I love Damian’s look on his face!

Time zips by...

Wow. It has obviously been too long since I have posted on here. I haven’t done a ‘word of the week’, or posted much of anything in the past few weeks.

Thanksgiving has now come and gone and Christmas is fast approaching. I have found that this time of year everyone is in panic mode, rushing and stressing about buying gifts, attending parties and everything else that goes along with these hectic holiday times.

There is so much change happening in my life right now, and many times, I wish I could just escape and forget about responsibilities and everything I know I need to take constant care of. It is these times I have to sit back, reflect and realize how lucky I am that I have these responsibilities and things to deal with. It IS a grand thing just to be alive.

So, I mentioned some upcoming changes. As most of you know, my fiancé James has opened an exciting new business and is no longer part of Peach. We are excited for all the new adventures before us this year with Trinity Vapor, and also our upcoming wedding.

I have decided that I will no longer be operating under the name Peach Fitness and I will now be:
Danielle Kellar
Yoga, Fitness & Nutrition

I will going back to using my YogaStar.net website, and am currently working on getting everything updated. I am also opening an online yoga store on the website. There will be mats, mat bags, yoga accessories, handmade soaps, online classes and more available. The website should be active before too long! I will let you all know.

I am very excited about all the changes happening now and I thank all of you for your constant support.

I hope that you all take some time for yourselves in the next few weeks. Don’t forget about that important ‘ME TIME’. Take an hour out of you day, or week and make sure to join me in a yoga or cardio-sculpt class. You will feel so much better both physically, and mentally. It is exactly what you need to help stay sane, and healthy!
