Helping Others in Need

This year we decided to adopt a family of a wounded warrior. He is a Marine and is 100% disabled. He has a wife and four children. He can no longer work. His wife had to stop working to take care of him and their children full time. They are struggling and in need of help.

As someone who has been involved in the community and teaching yoga for close to 20 years now, I think it is important that we each reach out and do what we can for others who aren’t as fortunate as us. I am asking each of you to donate a little so we can give this family a memorable Christmas and hopefully remove some of the stress and pain from their lives.

I have set up a GoFundMe page where you can donate. I have received a Christmas Wish List from the family and all money donated will go towards buying these gifts. Even a $5.00 donation will be helpful. To donate visit:

ALSO! Today only–my son will be Ace Hardware (outside of Imperial Oaks) selling homemade Jams and Jellies, made by Gringo Joes. 100% of all proceeds will be used towards the gifts for the family. He will be there from 11am to 3pm. Please stop by, show some support and give a little of yourselves for a family who has sacrificed so much for this country and our freedom.

Adopting a Hero and his family

This year, James, Damian and I have decided to adopt a wounded warrior and his family. This Friday (Black Friday) YOU can come help raise money to give this family a memorable Christmas.

Please come out Black Friday and show your support. We are donating 30% of all sales from Black Friday to go towards Christmas gifts for a Wounded Warrior’s family. Gringo Joe’s Jam’s and Preserve’s will be in the shop also, they are donating 100% of their proceeds to this family as well. Let’s give this Hero and his family a Christmas they deserve! Thanks everyone! See you on Black Friday 11:00am-3:00pm.

VIMFIREmagazine Release and Giving Back

I cannot begin to tell you all how happy, elated, ecstatic I am over the release of this publication!

Nearly a full year it took us to put this gem together. We had over 230 submissions for this inaugural edition, and we chose our top favorites to feature in this first VIMFIREmagazine. I cannot thank my staff of editors enough. Without them this publication would have never made it to print.

As editor-in-chief, I have decided that 10% of all proceeds coming from VIMFIREmagazine will be donated to a wonderful organization called Warrior Writers. You can learn more about this amazing organization on their website:

If you are interested in purchasing a copy (makes a great Christmas gift), please visit the website
